Hi! I'm looking to relocate to The Chapel HIll area. How is the medical field (Respiratory Therapy) in the Triangle Area? I am currently in Phoenix, AZ but would like to relocate to a smaller setting. I relocated from Vero Beach, FL a few years back and I'm finding that Phoenix has become a very undesirable city to live in. I appriciate any insight.

With all the hospitals in the Trinagle, this is a great area for someone in the medical field. I have to give credit to MikeJaquish for posting this list earlier in another thread (thanks Mike!)

My six year old was just hospitalized two weeks ago with flu/pneumonia and needed a chest tube at WakeMed in Raleigh, she received excellent care from the respiratory team there! I don't have any "experience" with the other hospital systems in the area, but you'll have several choices.

Is there a particular reason that you chose Chapel Hill over other parts of the Triangle, or are you open to the entire area? Chapel Hill is an excellent place to live, and if you choose a job at UNC, then it may be perfect. However, depending on where you find the best career options, there may be other parts of the Triangle that would also fit your needs.

Good luck!
