Is there a significant distinction in where would be desirable to live in FV? I am married with 2 little ones and obviously in search of good schools. Are there neighborhoods you would reccommend? Do certain parts go to different schools?

I live in FV right now, and we're planning on building a new house here as well. There is a great new neighborhood being built called South Lakes. The homes there are beautiful, and they're setting aside land for a new school. If you live in the area, I recommend that you drive through it.

There are definitely different parts that go to different schools. You will need to double check every home you consider. Fuquay residents can have kids that go to Holly Springs schools (Holly Ridge MS, Holly Springs HS) and also to Middle Creek HS and West Lake MS, as well as any in town schools (FV Middle, FV Elementary, Lincoln Heights) The ones I have listed may not be all of them so make sure to check. Some are Magnet, some are not, but even Magnet schools have a "base" population, especially now. The new elementary school being built off of Banks Rd (close to Wake Tech) also seems to look like it will be a "Fuquay" school so make sure you know if there are new schools planned for the area you are looking into. Also depending upon where you are looking, Willow Springs Elementary may be your base.
