I did *hear* from a family friend that parts of SW Durham are indistinguishable from Chapel Hill. Is this true, and if so - what "parts" might this be?
Thanks again!

There are a number of both new and established neighborhoods in southern Durham (south of around MLK Jr. Pkwy, and especially south of Garrett Road) that resemble the more "suburban" (i.e., not Franklin St./UNC) subdivisions in CH. Not surprising since these areas directly border. This ranges from new subdivisions like Woodcroft and Hope Valley Farms, to older historic ones like Hope Valley CC, to the more rural developments along Erwin Road.
Definitely worth a look if you're checking out Chapel Hill.
