We are from Northern VA. , near Dulles airport, suburbs of Washington DC. We've been looking in Wake county for about a year now. We really want to move to that area. Fuquay-Varina and that side of Raleigh have been of much interest to us lately. My husband recently saw some homes in Clayton and said it was pretty rural there compared to F-V.

A house of interest in Wendell has come up recently, but we have not had a chance to make it down yet. What is it like compared to F-V and to Clayton??

Thank you so much for your imput.

If your husband considered Clayton "rural", I would consider Wendell even more rural.

Wendell is much more rural than Clayton. Clayton has alot more to offer than Wendell. I do like the little downtown of Wendell though, really cute. It is about 15 miles from Raleigh and 33 from Durham. It is still in Wake County though. Through the 90's Wendell has grown about 50%, but has slowed to about an annual rate of 1%.Median household income is $39,750.

Regards,

Debbie
