My parents came to Raleigh over the Thanksgiving weekend and brought with them some of my favorite chocolates from the local candy store we had in Rochester (if anyone's from Rochester, I'm talking about Stever's on Park Ave).
I got to thinking, I need to find a place like that in Raleigh. Anyone know of a candy/chocolate shop in the area that makes their own chocolate on premise and has a good selection?
I feel your pain! I'm from Cheektowaga and too miss my chocolates...
Every year for Christmas I order SPONGE CANDY from back home, infact I already ate my allotment for today! LOL
Can't recall the name, but there's a shop in Carrboro near the coop food store on Main St. Sort of by Elmo's diner.
You might also try Kilwyn's ( sp?) which is off High House. Shopping center has Red Bowl Asian restaurant, a Rite Aid, etc. They sell ice cream, chocolate, apples, etc.
I need to get the email address from work, but Sister's Chocolates...I think they make them out of their homes , but OMG the hand dipped truffles are to die for....seriously ...never had anything like it...I didn't see a website for them but will post the email address when I get it..
I'm from Rochester, too. I always thought we needed a good family-run chocolate place around here (in Raleigh). Where's Andy's Candy's when you need them? Especially at Easter!
