[SIZE=2]Can anyone recommend a fine dining restaurant in the Raleigh/Cary area that isn't a chain? I'm looking for an upscale restaurant to celebrate a special occasion.

If I were going out for a special event right now I'd go to Bloomsbury Bistro, because I think their food is amazing and because they are offering a really good fixed price three course menu for $50 a couple. That's about half what dinner for two will usually cost there. Raleigh Restaurant | Bistro | Bloomsbury Bistro . Nationally Renowned Cuisine . Raleigh, NC 27608 . 919.834.9011 - Events

No, sadly the Leesville Road one closed too. The space is now Leesville Tap Room. I loved that Prime Only, but it's just a pub now.

I have to say Caffe Luna. Parker (the owner) is a wonderful person and really goes out of his way to make special events just that -- special. I had my wedding reception there and it was flawless -- couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
