Oh wow, feels like I was just there, but I guess it has been awhile

I have to agree with this one! I have never had a bad meal at Bloomsbury Bistro. The food is always fanstatic. However, I wish they'd step it up a notch when it comes to their atmosphere. It's not a bad atmosphere but it's nowhere near the level of their food.

Has anyone tried Solas for dinner yet? I have only been for drinks and "nibbles" but the appetizers I had were really good. And, while the drinks are slightly on the expensive side, they are good sized and well prepared.

I would recommend:
1. Margaux's
2. Second Empire
3. Bloomsbury Bistro

These are chains, but being a chain does not necessarily make a restaurant bad. These are two of my favorite places to eat, so I will post them for you:

Chop House Grill - Cary
Stonewood Grill - Cary

They are very nice places to eat, but not super expensive.

I just wanted to give an update on where we went. We picked The Mint in downtown Raleigh. It was very nice and the food was great. We did a tasting menu and it was extra special because my husband and I were treated for this dinner. I sure can't complain when I get a fine dining meal for free :-)

But I would go back with my own wallet next time. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Take care, Joy
