I am new to the area and in need of an auto mechanic that I can trust. If anyone out there has a history with one that they've referred to friends, please share with me!!!! I live in N. Raleigh 27615 area. Thanks!
We have used AAA Automart for a long time . They are at the corner of Gorman and Avent Ferry near NC State. It is a 15 minute drive from N Raleigh where we live but having a auto place we trust has been worth it.
"James" at Quail Corners (don't remember what kind of station it is, but there is only one service station) is notorious and even had an article written about his service and skill. This is a shopping center at the corner of Falls of Neuse and Millbrook.
James at Quail Corners Shell is great! They have taken care of my car for years and do a great job. They are on the corner of Falls of Neuse Road and Millbrook Road, in the Quail Corners Shopping Center.
I use a mechanic off of Six Forks Road at the Texaco Bayleaf Tire & Auto Service (gas station- (corner of Mount Vernon Church Rd & Six Forks). I've been using him for some time now.. Owner-Joe is very cost effective. I brought my Mercedes in and he is about 1/3 less than the dealership cost and uses the most cost effective way of getting the job done. Ex. I needed a catalytic converter. Instead of replacing the entire piece (I was told by Mercedes I had to buy because the indicator lights would come on) Joe just replaced a portion where it was quite a bit less and it worked great.
