I am new to the place and am looking for a good lawyer in the RTP area who can help me prepare our will and do the estate planning for us. Any recommendation?

I'd recommend talking to attorney Jackie Bedard with Pinna Johnston & Burwell - they're located down off of Oberlin Rd. in Raleigh.

Saturnfan beat me to it. Huggard is top notch. He was one of my personal finance professors in business school and I learned a lot from him. There is no doubt in my mind he is one of the best, if not the best estate planning lawyer in the Triangle.

Has anyone used or heard of Dan Brady? He does Estate Planning and is a CPA. Wondering if he's any good.

Default Cary area?

Does anyone have any recommendations for an attorney in the Cary area? We just need simple wills, etc. - nothing fancy.

I am bumping this up....I've seen a few recommendations for Raleigh lawyers, but I'd prefer someone in Cary or Morrisville who will handle our reasonably simple wills. Raleigh is ok for someone who's very good AND reasonably priced for the not too complicated work. I don't want to use a software program--I have children and a stepchild and we've tried to go the software route and it was just too cumbersome and unclear.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I always recommend Carol Silverstein at Silverstein & Cook. Raleigh Tax and Probate Law Attorneys | North Carolina , Lawyers, Law Firm - Silverstein %26 Cook, P.A. Attorneys at Law She did a couple of sets of wills / POAs / etc. for me, and she also handled 2 estate settlements for me. She and her staff are excellent.
