I wouldn't call any of the Indian restaurants here great/fantastic. Saffron is good. You could try Tamarind in Apex as well.

I love Saffron! I've only had the buffet at Spice & Curry and its excellent. Its by far the spiciest buffet food I've found anywhere...as a friend of mine says, "its not for amatuers!"

Top 3 Indian Restaurants in the triangle in my opinion are:

[1] Royal India on Capital Blvd, Raleigh (Pricey but best Indian food in the Triangle, PERIOD)

[2] Tamarind on HW55 in Apex (Relatively new compared to other establishments in the triangle. Excellent food, try the Chicken Naan, Cheese Naan, yummy)

[3] Inchin Bamboo Garden on Davis Drive in Morrisville/Cary (Excellent Food. Perfect Indochinese cuisine, moderate prices, We love this place!)

I think my favorite in the triangle so far is Sitar in Durham. Though I've only had their buffet, I imagine their sit-down is quite good. I'm looking forward to trying some of the others around though.

Thumbs up Favorite Indian Restaurant, so far

I would say the Royal India is "great", and on par with the ones I have been to in Toronto.

Mind you, I have not been to all of the others here in the Triangle (yet) to compare. But if I were to take someone somewhere for their first time, it would be the Royal India.

Regards

Dave

Where is this place? When I Google Map it I get the Ace Hardware shopping center at the intersection of Morrisville Carpenter and Davis. I don't recall this place. My wife and I went to a "Chinese" restaurant here about a year ago and weren't too impressed with it. Perhaps it has changed ownership?

Here is the address of Inchin Bamboo Garden, at the southeast corner:

3532 Davis Drive
Morrisville, North Carolina 27560

Their website has lots of information,
Bamboo Garden

It is Indian food with chinese flavor. My boss from India recommended me that and I do love that.
