I've tried contacting Udupi Cafe but I seem to always manage to call when no one is around to answer the phone Anyone know if Udupi Cafe or one of the other South Indian restaurants around here can do drop-off lunch catering? Thanks!

Dawat is new and apparently does catering, but doesn't specifically mention lunch on their website:

Dawat Restaurant | Authentic India Cuisine | Dine-in, Catering, In-house Parties, Banquet at RTP | www.dawatnc.com

I haven't eaten there yet, but I'm sure I will soon. :-)

Udipi is awesome. They're closed on Mondays though, so I'd keep calling!

Suman Bhatia may be able to cater a lunch on Monday. She has a standing gig at Fullsteam on Monday evenings, so it may not work for her, but it's worth an email:

sumanbhatia1@gmail.com

Also Martin's Curry Rice?

Our favorite South Indian Vegetarian restaurant is Tower on Morrisville-Carpenter Rd.
There is another new restaurant called Sai Krishna Bhavan in Morrisville near Walmart and 540.

I've heard of Sai Krishna from an Indian co-worker, highly recommended. He has taken me to Tower in the past, it used to be his favorite place, but he says they changed management a while back and have slipped. I've heard that about Tower from others too. When I went (probably more than a year ago) it was good. I'm a carnivore, so I prefer some of the other North Indian places better, for more variety, but I enjoyed Tower when I went.

I ended up ordering through Bamboo Garden since they were the quickest about getting back to me with an estimate. I've been wanting to try them for awhile so it's nice having my employer pay for the lunch instead of me hah!
