And I couldn't be more excited!!!! I have my list of apartments to check out. Some addresses of a few yarn stores (I'm a knitter/crocheter), directions on how to get to BOTH Trader Joes (dh is in Managment and we might transfer).

So, any advice on what to pack? Jeans, shorts, sweaters? Does it cool off at night? Sorry, we are living in Seattle right now and while we did have an awesome weekend it's back to 55 and overcast/drizzly.

Bring shorts.

You will be warm.
Our lows will be in the 55 range, with highs in the upper 70's.
We may even show you a warm sprinkle of liquid sunshine.

I don't live there (I live in Boston) but I do follow the weather. NC gets a beautiful spring--unlike Seattle or Boston. Check out the 7 day forecast on wral.com. It looks as though it will be warm.

Tell Seattle "hello" for me and that we miss it.

The weather in the past couple of weeks has been perfect for crop pants/capris and short sleeve shirts. It has been warm enough for shorts on several occasions. Bring a light jacket or sweater for cool evenings and the air condiditoning in restaurants. Have a great visit. We've been for 5 weeks and LOVE IT!

May I interject something here? You will most likely have SUN (something not seen often in Seattle this time of year) and temps at least in the 70's. While Seattle is not as cold as Boston, you are still used to cooler, damper conditions than people in the Triangle. My kids wear shorts when the temps get above 40 degrees! Weather such as Raleigh is having now would be absolutely summer-like to us. And it's very similar to Seattle summers. So I wanted to pass that along so you could pack and dress accordingly. It's always great advice to pack layers, but I would count on you finding the days warm enough for your summer clothes.
