But look! It's made with loving care! It says so, right on the label!

Talenti = Amazing! That is sold at Whole Foods. Perfect example of a high quality product with awesome ingredients. What’s Inside | Talenti Gelato e Sorbetto

Umm, Talenti products also contain Carob Bean Gum, Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum, Dextrose (a processed sweetener not far removed from HFCS), Corn Syrup and Soy Lecithin.

Seriously, how can this be called Gelato? LOL

Harris Teeter (Hunter Farms) Natural Line (It's a green container) - same thing. Their ice cream has just a few ingredients. Southern Milk Chocolate is milk, cream, cocoa, sugar, and vanilla. Strawberry is milk, cream, sugar, and strawberries! You can only find it at Harris Teeter. It's usually $3.99 per container so not pricey at all!

NO artificial flavors! No artificial colors! No guar gum! No carrageen! No HFCS! And they taste delicious!

Okay, that's my PSA for the day.
I'm going to give these a try. The ingredient list reminds me of Breyers when I was a kid. Breyers has so much gum in it now it almost needs to be eaten with a knife and fork.

Who sells this locally?

And it's probably not made with love.

Lowes Foods used to sell it but no longer does. On Front Porch's web site they list only H-T for North Carolina.

I miss The Dairy King in Clayton. Loved their soft serve! I like Chick-fil-a now now. We seldom buy container ice cream from the grocery store.

I agree that fresher would be better, but that list on a product that won't expire in less than a week isn't too bad.

I'm not sure what "fresher" has do with it. My point is that Talenti was held up as an example of an "awesome" product that doesn't use thickeners, HFCS, etc., which clearly isn't true.
