Currently live in the boring state of CT and looking to relocate south to the Raleigh area because Ive heard its a great place and always happening. I visited this past week and it seems to be a nice fit. I work as an electrician and my main hobbies are fitness, cars, going out, and meeting new people. Would like any suggestions on where to visit and scout out for an apartment and eventually a condo/home. Also if it would be a good choice in peoples opinions.
There are several good zipcodes around the city. It is going to depend on what you like to live close too and what you need to be convenient to you. Large swaths of North Raleigh and Midtown Raleigh are great for you I'd look at 27605, 27609 (fairly dense) 27612,27615 (slightly less dense) Those areas are developed and have a variety of apartment choices ranging from the very simple 1 bedroom to the really nice loft/mid-rise type 3 bedroom apartments it all depends. Your usual stores and stuff wouldnt be too far from any of those places with lots of city parks and trails and other singles. closer into downtown 27605 would have more in the way of bars etc. but there is no shortage or restaurants and bars in the other zipcodes either and in 27612 our biggest mall and eateries are there so if food is your thing this city has tons. Also 27617 is an area inbetween Raleigh and Durham that is built up but it is a further drive depending.
