In Pittsboro it was really bad too. Our new house is right next to the Haw river, I was getting a little nervous. The river came within feet of our house, I really need to get flood insurance.

I saw the photos of Franklin Street on our listerv. Wow! We've been away for two weeks and just got back at 9 PM tonight. Glad we missed that storm! Saw a few branches down and lots of water, so we could tell something happened, but the photos were unbelievable!
Cool pics...I have seen that area flood several times. They have spent buckets of money trying to eleviate the problems at Eastgate. We sure did get alot of rain is a very short time. We were floating over in Durham too...
ugh and more is coming...really unbelievable we did not get a drop of rain in western Wake...although we just got slammed this a.m.
Stay safe.
