I FINALLY MADE IT BACK TO THE UNITED STATES
I actually did a "POW" and kissed the ground. But I digress...

What's the best Cell Phone carrier just north of Durham?
I'm looking to buy a home within the 45 minute radius of Durham... possibly Greensboro. (I'll even check out Asheboro.)

I plan to drive to the Durham area, rent a place, and begin searching for a little home on 2 acres or more that is just outside of a city or town. I imagine Roughemont is close enough to Durham not to be bothered by cell phone coverage?

But my question is more directed to places like Franklington, Oxford, Henderson.

The new Samsung 4 comes out next week and I have to select a company.
Sprint and Verizon seem to be leaders?
Sprint has the best data deals, but it's said that Verizon has the best coverage?
Are there other companies that people like more in smaller cities, small towns, and semi-rural ... or even rural areas?

Default um .. ah ... er...

Puppydog...

i thank you...but that just seems to make too much sense
(at least for me )

Sounds like a dumb question, but it's better to make sure. NC is on the other side of the country and ... well .. ah .. hmm.... theoretically there could be a different preferred carrier in the more remote areas

(thanks puppydog)

Go to each carriers site and compare coverage maps. Verizon is typically best, followed by ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile. It depends what you want, and how much you want to spend.

Verizon definately has the best coverage for more rural areas of NC. I have AT&T and wife has Verizon and have been to many places where Verizon worked fine and AT&T didn't. Don't know about Sprint and T-Mobil, but reports are that they are way behind Verizon in coverage.

I have AT&T (work-supplied phone) and find that when I go north of Chapel Hill/Hillsborough to the VA line, the service is quite spotty.

AT&T has 4G LTE coverage along US-501 from Durham, NC to Roxboro to Virginia line.

Coverage viewer map hasn't been updated as of 4/22 to reflect 4G LTE in Roxboro. I was in the area this weekend.
