Dentist in Raleigh/Cary/Durham on Cigna (Burlington, Carrboro: insurance, price)

Our insurance just changed and we need a provider on Cigna
dental. Any recommendations? Many thanks.

I've gone to Dr. Otis Washington in Raleigh (near Lake Boone) for major work. My regular dentist will file, but I have to pay at the time of service and generally pay $20 or so out of pocket beyond what is covered by Cigna (they send a check to me after I pay). Apparently Cigna dental is - not stellar in terms of their contracted rates with dentists, but that's only according to what I've been told by dental providers (when I was searching for one last year!).

I also recommended this to another poster --- Check out Piedmont Health. They have offices in Carrboro, Burlington, Caswell County, Siler City and Moncure. They accept Cigna; they do excellent work; and they charge about half the price of most dental offices. Just Google them and check out their website.
