Went by this morning and they still had the barricades up. Bridge appears to be complete with lines painted and everything. Don't know what the holdup is. No one was there working.
They're probably still waiting for the paint to dry.
So they just built back 2 lanes with no room for expansion? Have the other roads taken the traffic off?
I was telling my wife just a bit ago that I felt the new bridges were wide enough for two (skinny but do-able) lanes in either direction if the need arose. But there is very little traffic there now, so I don't think there is a need. NFON has taken the bulk of the traffic for sure.
It was a nice smooth ride across, and cut out quite a bit of extra slow-speed detouring through Wakefield. I'll bet those folks are glad the bridge is open as well.
