Maybe some day I'll have a "Blueberry Jam Tasting" party.

Due to food allergies, the list of fruits I can tolerate is very small (blueberries, cherries, pears -- I never liked pears -- and most applies). I might as well become a connoisseur of one of them.
Make sure you keep an eye on the ingredients if you're allergic to grapes. Quite a few companies use grape juice to help sweeten jelly to cut down on added sugar. Not a bad thing unless you're allergic to grapes. Have you tried making your own?

Yes, I check all ingredients of everything, and I do react to grapes, unfortunately. But that's a good tip.

I don't like being in the kitchen at all or dealing with anything related to cooking -- never have. I'd rather just buy the jam from smaller companies who don't throw in extra ingredients. Fortunately, my husband loves cooking and all its related gadgets and machines. I am just in his way in the kitchen.

The closest I get to cooking is throwing rice milk and frozen Sam's Club blueberries in a blender for delicious blueberry smoothies. If I knew how good they were, I would have been making them for years, pre-allergies. They can also be made with regular milk, of course.

Was just at La Farm today and saw that they are selling this jam:

Mrs. Ruth?s Jams

Locally made and they have blueberry. Use fruit, cane sugar, and pectin. Not sure how much it costs but it looks like you can buy it at The Angus Barn or email Mrs. Ruth directly!
