I know regular ones are far preferred. I've had two in years past.
But for drug allergy reasons (long story), I think a virtual colonscopy would fit my needs, and if a polyp was found, I know I'd have to undergo a regular one. But if one wasn't found -- I would have avoided what may be a dangerous situation due to potential allergic reactions.
Does anyone know if anyone around here offers virtual colonoscopies? (I left a message for my doctor, and the "virtual" part apparently was left off the message...and I called a place, and the person said they didn't think anyone did them around here, which I think is strange.)
I don't know of virtual colonoscopy providers, but Dr. Michael Pike in Cary is very
very helpful. My family member has allergies and medical issues that make
the exam a bit more complicated. He has provided 4 exams because of
colon cancer . Highly recommend Dr. Pike.
