Can anyone give me an idea of the average cost of daycare in the Raleigh/Cary area? My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Raleigh or Cary from Charleston, SC. Right now, we pay an average of 175/wk per child, and we have 2 kids.. they would be almost 3, and almost 5 when we would move... and does anyone know of a good area in raleigh that is family friendly to look into.. we could like to be not too far from chapel hill.. my husband will be applying there for med school... thanks so much!

Our 3-year-old daughter goes to KinderCare, it costs $211 with snacks and meals included. We love KinderCare!

They must have changed from waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when my parents briefly sent me there. I hated that place as a kid lol.

What sort of daycare are you looking for? One where you just drop off the kids for the day and they have supervised play? Or one with some sort of curriculum? A lot of my friends have recommended Bright Horizons to me but their prices are pretty high. I feel like it was something like $300/week/child but I would call them and ask. They're a chain but all of their facilities in the area are 4 or 5-star. I've also heard really good things about Spanish for Fun. One of my coworkers sends her son there and he just loves it. It's quite funny watching him speak Spanish when he comes into the office and makes me wish I had paid more attention in Spanish class when I was in high school.
