Just spent the past few mintues chaising a neighbor's patio furniture down the street! We are getting some high winds here in N. Raleigh. It will be nice to get some much needed rain!
We've got our building crew working hard to secure the structure we are adding to our house. They are having an interesting time out there. Want the rain, just wish we had a roof and shingles by now. Roof won't be on for a few more days! Husband just said that most of it has gone by now. I love storms, just maybe not during construction.
We've already lost power and the storms just started here
Thank goodness for laptops and blackberrys... course when the batteries on those run out I start to get the shakes .
Already lost power, wow, sorry friend! The storm has been here in S. Granville aprox. 30 minutes, and the power has not even blinked. The winds are heavy, and the rain is heavy and steady. Very little lightning so far.
Never mind our grass, I just hope our pond gets some nice refreshing rain for all the fish and wildlife.
We evidently had one in Cary while my kids and I were in the Cary Ice House for skate lessons. We didn't hear a thing! My husband called before we left and asked me "if I had gotten home safely"...I thought he was nuts!
wow...I thought a tornado blew in...happy to see rain
the wind was crazy...my lawn furniture...went flying...all my potted plants...I ran after everything...it was like a sand storm...all dirt and debris was flying everywhere...there are 2 homes under construction behind my home....I was like what the heck is going on...we definitely need the rain....yay! let it rain!
I read that down winds were likely tonight...they can be very damaging.
