We're relocating to the Raleigh area and looking for a GREAT school district but one that is known for Cross Country running as well. A great coach, a great team. Our son is a Junior and has worked so hard -- relocation can be hard enough (even though he is absolutely thrilled about this move to Raleigh) but if we can get him with a great team join working on his passion it will be an even better relocation!

Thank you!!!

Cary Academy if you want the best right now. They have a very very good coach and assistants every coach is a runner and one of the best runners in the nation is on the team. They are solid and have probably a good chance of state title this year and only two seniors. Great school also Private but worth every cent

I have lurked on this thread for quite awhile, but I finally registered to be able to respond to this message.

For a great XC program in the Raleigh area, you need to check out Green Hope High School. They have a large and very active XC team. At present there are over 200 runners between the boys and girls teams. Both the boys and girls teams won the state championships for 4A (largest) schools last year. The girls are currently rated #9 in the nation. The team is very social. My daughter has run for them for the last 4 years and most of her close friends are from the team. In addition, it is an excellant high school academically. My sons were very well prepared for college from their 4 years at Green Hope.

I'd add Broughton and Panther Creek to the Green Hope suggestion.

Also, here's a site to check out:
