In case anyone else wondered what the green fencing is doing around the Rite Aid parking lot in Cameron Village, Chick-Fil-A is coming to the shopping center.

Looks like construction is slated to begin this week. It's supposed to be a new concept restaurant for them: 2-story, 60-seat outdoor patio, double drive-thrus, conveyor belt food delivery, among other things.

Here's a facebook page full of details.

Should be interesting to see how it plays out. It will definitely bring more life to that corner of Cameron Village and "pretty up" that massive parking lot over there. At least every day but Sunday.

How sad that they promote anti-gay issues.

A study by vegan feminists at the University of California concluded that most of the chickens CF slaughters are actually straight.

Who cares. If you don't like their opinion don't eat there. The chicken is good

I agree. Their chicken is great, but my money will be spent in businesses that don't promote prejudice and discrimination.

Mr. Cathy's strong religious beliefs have the company doing things that "normal" businesses would not do, such as not being open on Sundays. I'm sure their bean-counters have crunched the numbers many times to determine how much revenue they are losing by doing that.

I grew up in Atlanta and fondly remember being able to get a Chick-Fil-A sandwich during a trip to the mall. Glad to see that they are expanding to Cameron Village.
