My wife and I went over to Carrboro this evening to take in some of the free music offered each Thursday night on the lawn in front of weaver street market. We set up our two beach chairs and I ran into the market and got two bottles of Carolina Pale Ale beer to enjoy while we sat on the lawn and listend to some jazz and blues music. There were a lot of families, dogs, and kids. The crowd really grew by 7:30 Afterwards we grabbed a bite to eat at the Spotted Dog Restaurant which seemed like a nice place. We would have grabbed some ice cream from the Maple View Ice Cream Parlor, but we were stuffed! Maybe Next time
Thanks for posting. We sometimes sit on the lawn on Sundays for brunch. By the way, I think Durham is hosting some sort of music in the park series starting this week. It's listed on parkgeek.com. I love free live music!
