We've been dreaming of relocating to North Carolina for a few years now and we see some land for sale in Wake Forest...can anyone tell me what they might know about the area around this address: 3155 Buckhorn Lane?
Me? It seems like there's a creek and a lot of drainage running right through the middle. It's also right there on the Granville Co. line, but it is indeed in Wake Co. (if this is the right piece of land)
It's in a subdivision know as Willow Creek, which is a nice Mobile Home Park developed in the late 80's the smallest lot is 1 acre so you have alot of privacy. Part of it is Granville county (avg schools) and wake county (excellent schools.) I lived there in 94-96 and I like it clear nights , wooded, quiet, diverse. The only real draw back is that they are dirt roads so it can get dusty when dry.

I've looked in there before. It's located off Purnell Rd in Wake Forest. I like that the lots are bigger. One thing I noticed is that it's pretty big so you maybe traveling 3-4 miles on dirt roads to get to the back of the SD. The back of the SD is about 25 minutes from shopping (Walmart) if I remember correctly.
Thank you for the replies. My husband's all for it, cuz it's cheap, but I'm not so sure about a mobile home park myself. We're looking at just buying some land right now to build on later, who knows how long later, it all depends on the economy I guess. We want to live near Raleigh for it's similarities to Wisconsin's foliage, but its DISsimilarities to our weather!
