Someone is murdered in US everyday. Stay away from US!! ha! ha!
Grove complex is in a very upscale community but does have some affordable ( subsidised rent ) units. If I were you I'd use the current murder ( first in 2 years in Cary ) as a way to negotiate a better lease and then enjoy the nearby shopping/schools.
1) Apartment review can be helpful..but I also encourage anyone to actually go and view the places you are considering moving to. If possible once during the day, when everyone is supposedly at work and once on the weekend. You get a sense of who you are living near.
2) I currently live at CrossTimbers in Morrisville (off of Davis Drive) and I've not had any problems. they also recieved a pretty good rating on Apartment Reviews.
On a side note..How do you know what apartment complexes or housing develpments have section 8 /low income housing options. That was a big concern of mine when I first moved, because to be honest....I've been told and through personal expierence, when you have a large grouping of section 8 housing...there tends to be issues...I think because they really don't screen people as well as they should.
The Grove is a section 8 apartment complex. That can be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. I lived at the Courtney Reserve Apt complex, right across the road from The Grove, and I can say that some of the tenants at the groves can be questionable. There was a murder at The Grove last year and the guy that held the hostages at gun point at the Wachovia lived at The Groove. I would absolutely not live there if I could avoid it.
you all think you have shootings and crime try living in Flint Michigan..lol we had 32 in the first month of the year 2013.. no I am not kidding I work on an ambulance and have picked up most of them...
