I am hoping you folks can offer suggestions on how/where to sell DPAC tickets for an upcoming event.
I have asked friends, neighbors, and coworkers, but no interest.
I also tried the obvious, Craigslist. However, another seller has flagged my post as inappropriate (which it was not) to avoid competition with my tickets. Craigslist has offered no assistance to remedy this issue.
Are there any Raleigh-specific online classifieds or another medium that you could suggest? I have never tried to sell an item online before and am totally clueless.
We are really disappointed that we will not be able to attend the performance. I have never seen a ballet performance of the Nutcracker and the description sounds like it would be awesome. Maybe next year!
Oddly enough, Ticketmaster has a service where ticket holders can sell their tickets. I have no idea if it is a great service or not.
Unfortunately, Craigslist can sometimes be the "Wild Wild West" as they do not seem to have many moderators. Once you have been flagged, correctly or incorrectly, it can be difficult to post transactions.
I've used Stubhub before to BUY tickets, and it's a good deal. Also, you might just try another time on C'list--I don't think it should be considered "inappropriate". You could also put an ad in the Independent, etc but you are probably trying not to spend money.
Thanks Picflora and Francois for the suggestion to use Stubhub. The tickets sold in just 2 days!
Alf, Ticketmaster required your bank account number as well as the routing number. I didn't like the idea of giving them so much info. Thanks for the idea though!
Kudzu, I saw (a few days ago) a 4-pack of tickets on Craigslist that were being sold for below ticket value. Perhaps worth checking out?
Happy Holidays!
