Does anyone know of anywhere in Raleigh/the triangle where I can buy a yoga ball desk chair?

I know that you can buy them online, but I really want to test them out in the store before I buy one. I've tried calling stores like the Healthy Back store, and they don't even have them!

Any other ideas?

Do you mean using the large size yoga balls AS a desk chair? If so, they sell high quality yoga balls at Prosource Fitness Equipment on Hillburn Ave. near Glenwood.

The folks at Prosource are very knowledgeable and might know something about them. It's worth a call!

kanatastar,
If you find the chairs in the Raleigh area (or any info on them), can you post it? I'd be interested in trying them out too. Thanks!

You're welcome! All the stores that I have called --the one that you mentioned, and some others, have said that they don't carry the base for the chair.... and that to me, if the most important part of the chair!

I have a friend who bought one with the base, and she actually sold it and just started using the largest size regular exercise ball instead. She said the back isn't necessary, since your core is doing the stabilizing, and that the wheels weren't either (they got in the way and the regular ball rolls, too). I know that doesn't answer your original question, but hope it helps anyway!

I have no idea! She lives outside of Boston, so probably somewhere in the city.
