Yes, I get the WFN on dishnet and have seen that show. I also enjoy Fishin' The Flats with Henry Wazchuck or spell check or whatever his last name is.

I just returned from Detroit yesterday and spent 6 hours laying sod in my backyard. Today, teaching a FA/CPR/AED class in Ft. Myers. Hope to wet a line on Saturday.

The point of that show I mentioned in post #182 was the rig which I call a bobber rig and they of course call something else. Basically a styrofoam float of good size like about 4" long cylindrical ones that are common in Florida with the top having a cupped portion is used about 2-3 foot above a 3/8" ounce jighead. The jighead is at least a 1-3/0 in size, a Kalins Ultimate Bullet is a good one then attach the Strike King Rage Shrimp to it with super glue. One of the keys was to put Pro-Scent live shrimp scent and rub into the appendages. Twitch in shallower very close to shore areas where Reds live and wa-la. Key again is to twitch so that the cupped float catches the water, At least that is the way I seen them do it. Seemed to get a lot of strikes when reds are present, might work for snook???

Yes they were all caught 200 yards east southeast of the bird rookery island south of Placida.
Sharks were hitting any and everything but they liked fresh cut bait the best.Next would be frozen herring. The small ones hit on shrimp.
The rigs were just a hook split shot and a bobber set down about 2 1/2
feet. They are extremely acrobatic, most of the time they would jump two foot out of the water before I would set the hook.We also had a lot of luck in pirates harbor with trout ,reds ,spanish mackeral, small mangos.
We fished every day from 6:00 am til 7:00 pm.We were stuck on this sand bar for a while so took some new pics of the boat here is my favorite

Pcozad nice boat, great report, that is what it's all about! What does that boat do on the water on top end? Is that a 150? Almost bought a Hydra-Sports bass boat several years back, that is a nice looking rig!

The motor is a 115 two stroke boat is 18' it tops out at 43.I have been a hydra sports fan since the early 80s.Fished alot of bass tourneys in my buddies hydra sports bass boat it was a tough boat.I had a cajun for years and wish now that I would have kept it.It would be a perfect florida lake boat.
