Didn't feel like spending $250 in gas and be the only one fishing on my boat. Nobody wanted to fish from a cruiser I guess. And the others already had more experienced teammates. Worked out great though. My buddy from MI is visiting family in Ft Lauderdale this weekend so I get to go over and see him.

Friday's winds are supposed to be only 10 knots, which is fine. But 20....My plans are definately under review.
I just checked 3 different sites, and all say the harbor is only supposed to be 2-6 knots all day saturday with calm seas. Rain 70% chance

I thought you were going out with us on my boat.
Oh, well, it is still hit or miss for Saturday. MA, do you want to reschedule? We set Saturday, because that was when you'd be around. We can reschedule if you wish.

Let's hold on and see what Friday brings.
Is it just you and fox & me and wpc?

I know wpc is only in SWFL for this week, so I want to give it every opportunity for us to go out. 15 knots is what you and I faced last time we were on my boat. 20 is a lot different, as you know. Especially from the BGP to home.

But officially, we have not cancelled at this point.

I never got an invite from you BH. You said Fox was going with you. Nobody wanted to go on my boat, so I made other plans

When you were here, I said if no one joins in on your boat, you can come with Fox and I. Sorry, for the miss understanding, but I thought you were coming!

I'm still in for Saturday if we are on. I will check in tonight and be ready to go. I am going out this afternoon with a friend to check out a couple spots.

MA, I'll call you tomorrow. Do you have wpc's phone number. I have FoxRivMan's phone number, so we can call around, and make sure we are on or not. I would hate for the trip to get screwed up because we can get in touch with each other.

Ya know, if the winds are bad, we can still have the contest and fish the back water and mangroves in more protected areas. I think it is going to rain this after noon, but that won't stop me - its the rough seas that make it not worth the effort.

So, tonight, I will call you and Rich.
wpc, dm me and MA with your phone number if you read this.

I need to pick up a license today if we're going in the morning. A little rain is OK by me, but high winds aren't for me.

Sorry for the delay, gang, but I flew in from New England today then had to get flu shots with the Admiral.

I'm still open to be being open. Yes, wpc and I have exchanged numbers.
I say we still plan on meeting at 7AM at Fishermen's Village. Like BH says, if it's bad in open water we can always work the north end for biggest ladyfish.

We can abort any time and return to safe port. What do you say? BH? WPC? Pat?
