That was to Messing About. He invited me to go Fishing Saturday but we already had plans with a few friends at Stumps Pass. Coincidentally, that's where he was fishing but he didn't call or stop by! :-(

I saw your post that morning but didn't know what sandbar you frequented. My loss. That would have been fun. Next time.

It's one the best cut bait available to use. Keep and freeze the bigger Ladyfish whole. Then take them out next time you fish, cut into bite sized chunks and pitch under the mangroves or drop down to the reef. Your results should make you a big fan of lady fishing. The jumps and leaps they make on your line give them the nick name, poor mans tarpon. But be careful....they love to crap all over your deck and it's hard to get off once it dries.

Great day of fishing the Harbor today. Started off with a Juvi-Tarpon, caught off my backyard dock on a top water lure at 8 AM. Took my neighbors Key West 1720 out near Alligator Creek. We caught Spanish Mackerel, Jacks, a huge sting ray, a bonnet head shark (dinner tonight) and several dozen Ladyfish. We witnessed many dolphin playing nearby and saw an incredible run of Rays that had to be hundreds and hundreds. Great time and beautiful weather.
