OMG, Siri is such an idiot. The other night I was visiting some friends at their new house in a different town and decided to use goggle maps and let Siri talk me in. She took me thru 5 miles of dirt roads and I almost slid into a ditch because it had rained and my van got covered with mud. Imagine how disgusted I was when I got to their house and realized that it was right in town and nowhere near a dirt road. That was not funny Siri!
I had to teach a class today on the differences between knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. I think I only have knowledge about all three though.
Also, when I got home, the wind had picked up so much that my outdoor umbrella, which I forgot to put down, had come out of it's holdy thingie, and was laying oddly in the center of the patio, sort of rolling back and forth. This was very perplexing and apparently mildly alarming to my dogs, who were standing at some distance just staring at the umbrella. When they saw me, they wouldn't walk past the umbrella into the house. I had to go outside - now in my sock feet and sans coat - and put the umbrella back in the holdy thingie before my dogs would budge toward the house. This was uncomfortable and ended with me cursing my dogs, but under my breath because I certainly wouldn't want to offend them.
Our trash collection has changed. Four unit apt bldg. Instead of one large shared dumpster there will be no alley pickups. We now have smaller individual containers which we have to wheel out to the curb night before trash collection, then we have to bring them to the rear of the property. Sigh.
I hate when the plastic covering on my tub of cottage cheese/yogurt has no little tab so it can be pulled off easily, and I have to use a kitchen implement to do it.
Needle nose pliers. I have one in the kitchen for this very reason. Sometimes there IS a tab but it is just small enough that I cannot get a grip on it. This annoys me to no end.
Five inches of unplowed snow in White Plains, New York yesterday. 70 minutes to drive six miles.
