I am so tired of corporate-speak that I will throw myself out a window if I hear one more silly meaningless bit of corporate babble like going back to the well, bubble up, raise your hand, best practices, core competencies, push back, leveraging, circle back, etc.
Blecccch.
I just completed 4 weeks of onboarding in a new department, ummmm I meant 4 weeks of training. Someone please save me I am turning into a pod person

Went to Bojangles for lunch (NC thing, you'd understand). I haven't been for awhile, so when I finished, I attempted to throw away my trash and return the tray.
That's the wrong thing to do at Bojangles.
I received a stare...then a glare.
And then a "Bless your heart".
I am thoroughly chastised.
Boy do I miss Bojangles especially that delicious Cajun chicken fillet biscuit and the smoked sausage biscuit. My mouth is watering. Would you send some down for me? Pack in dry ice.

Ya know, I would go in there with every intention of bringing out food to send to you. But something happens between the time I order and when I open the door to leave. It's like, magic, but not the good kind.
Next time I go in there, I won't try so hard to have a plan, so maybe I can send you something. If I just don't think about it...that's right, I'll wing it.
Thanks - I left NC in 1999 and I still remember those biscuits. Best fast food place ever. No wonder I put on 20 pounds during the time I lived there. :-0
My neighbors dog(s) are extremely obnoxious. When they're away at work, they leave them outside in a shed and fenced off portion of the yard. One of them howls and barks NON-STOP until the owners come home. I sneak a peak through the window and I see it running around howling at absolutely nothing. I don't think they're being tortured. They seem to be well groomed and healthy. That dog in particular must only be a year old or the owners just don't care to train it. Their yard is right next to my window, so I have no choice but to listen to it. It's a pain in the ass.

It's called boredom. Dogs are social creatures. Being left in a yard all day with no human interaction is no fun for a dog.

I really need a Talking Heads song about this. Or Devo.
"Going forward! Push back! Synergy!"
That isn't going to happen. *sigh* Depressing first world problem, if ya ask me.
