I purchased my Oreck Proshield Air Purifier about 1 year ago and I believe it is the single best purchase I have made for my home since we moved in. We always had dust problems in our home no matter how often we cleaned and dusted. Our first child was born in November of 2009 and I wanted to buy something that would help cut down on the dust and allergens in our home.
I started looking into air purifiers and started reading review from other customers and for me it came down to either buying an Oreck or Hunter Air Purifier. I choose the Oreck Proshield Air Purifier because of all the great reviews and product features. I feel really good about my decision right now.
Let me start by saying when the Oreck Proshield Air Purifier is running you can barely hear it. It is ultra quiet and comes with three different speeds setting (high, medium, and silent). It looks really nice, it's compact, and completely portable.
We would move ours around with us when we would spend most of our time in our living room/kitchen area and when we would go to bed at night we would put it in the baby's room so he would benefit the most from the Oreck Proshield Air Purifier. It really helped cut down on the dust and allergens in our home along with cutting down on odor that we never noticed before we started using the air purifier.
I couldn't imagine going a day without running this unit in our home, we use it all the time and it is really easy to clean the Truman Cell filter. All you have to do is wash it with soap and water and let it air dry and place it back into the unit. I would recommend the Oreck Proshield Air Purifier to anyone looking to improve the air quality in their home. I give this unit a 5 star rating.
