Plustek OpticBook 4600

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The Plustek OpticBook 4600 is a flatbed scanner that is great for scanning both photographs and documents that you may need to put on a computer. WHile it's slightly expensive in price, this makes it a very worthwhile investment for places like libraries and offices, anyone who may have a lot of documents that need to be put on a computer and stored away - the Plustek OpticBook 4600 is also great for scanning books, again making this ideal for storing documents and pages.

While the Plustek OpticBook 4600 does take up quite a bit of desk space, there is a lot of power in that machine. The Plustek OpticBook 4600 has a 1,200 DPI resolution as well as a 48-bit color depth. The actual scanner itself is quite quick as well, with a speed that is about 3 seconds for 300dpi. The power of the Plustek OpticBook 4600 also happens to justify the price- while it may seem pricey, it is incredibly efficient and will do work quickly for you. This is definitely a great scanner to look into investing in. The Plustek OpticBook 4600 also has it's own patented SEE, or Shadow Elimination Element Technology which helps to shed light along the edges of books and documents, which is great if you are scanning books and don't want text to be cut off due to the dark edges of spines, where documents are often cut off.

The setup for the Plustek OpticBook 4600 is quite easy, you simply attach the power cord and USB, as with any scanner. To install the scanners programs, you simply throw the software disc into your computer.

The Plustek OpticBook 4600 is a great, simple scanner that is definitely worth every single last penny and will get the job done.
