So now, like the title, he really is out in Miami. No wiggle room with Philbin or the Dolphins apparently.

While I think that if he is guilty he should face the consequences but I heard on a media show that 3 other Dolphin players were charged with domestic violence this year. The most they were given is a 1 game suspension. Maybe the management was just over the whole reality comedian status of Chad. But he wasn't the only one on that team doing wrong.

Were the others before or after Philbin arrived and the team heading in a new direction?

I think Philbin needed to send a loud strong message that he wasn't having any BS.

I don't think it was just getting arrested. The profanity and just plain odd press conference. The dropped pass in the game. It all added up.

It's the price you pay when you are more interested in being an entertainer than an athlete.

Realistically the guy's best playing days are behind him. Things can turn pretty cruel pretty quick when an athlete with a big ego is past his prime.

You're so right, things change. What might have flown early on with one team when he was playing a fantastic game, is not going to work anymore.

Many teams seem to be shortening the leash so to speak, some are their way or the highway right off the bat, no wiggle room. I also think the Prima Donna days are coming to an end, too, teams want to have one set of rules for ALL players.

I think so too.

Attitudes are changing and no team wants to throw a lot of money at a potential train-wreck.
