Anybody know if there are any stores/outlets/etc. in the Portland area who buy used items? I have a sofa that's in really great shape, and I need to sell it. (I know craigslist is an option, I'm trying it... it's just that there are SO many listings I'm not sure I'll find a buyer in two weeks. So I'm wondering if there are any more structured ways of selling off used furniture in Portland.)

Thanks!

Although this place won't buy the sofa, they might sell it on consignment for you.

Sofas are often difficult to sell because of the cleaning issue.

I just sold a great condition sofa set on Craigslist in minutes. Post a lot of pics and a good description. My email inbox was FLOODED and I sold for $100 OVER asking price. (Along with everything else I could ever hope to sell when the buyer arrived with her business partner!)

List it in several sections. I listed mine in "Business", "General", and I can't remember what else... I did have the advantage that it was a set out of a business showroom (pleather & chrome), so it was responded to by a ton of people for there homes and also by business owners.

Anyway, Craigslist can be a powerful tool! Hope this helps. )

Please don't. This is explicitly against CL rules and unfair to those who do follow the rules.
