This is more about Steve than it is Gresham, and Eastern Oregon is beautiful, so I don't know what you are talking about.

Yep, for most of us PDX'ers, we appreciate the diversity and beauty of this state. But you have to admit there are a lot of folks here who wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they were plopped down in Vale or Mitchell or Lakeview (or Gresham, for that matter!).

Well of course not, but that is because they don't live in those areas. When I lived in downtown Portland, I never went to Gresham because there was no point for me to go out to Gresham for any reason.

Well, I think it's more than that. I think there are some people in Portland who wouldn't go to Gresham because they have a perception that there's a lot of crime. And I'm always surprised by the number of Portlanders who think Eastern Oregon is ugly, barren, backward, etc.

Meh, I think it is more common for people to think of Gresham in a more trailer trash sense, but anyone who knows anything about the area knows that is wrong.

As for Eastern Oregon, those are just opinions because I can see how one would think it looks barren and ugly because it is a bit of a desert. As for backwards thinking, that is debatable.

I wonder how many different ways there are to drive in and out of Gresham?

I hope they all get discussed in detail.

I am still waiting for Steve to tell us about the "boondoggles" he found.

Hasn't been 24 hours yet. Is that still the threshold?

One of my closest friends lives in Gresham and I've never had a problem with it. I'd probably consider living there if it wasn't so inconveniently located for how my life currently is.
