We will be moving to Portland from Hawaii around September 1st, and are seeking temporary housing for 2 adult males and 2 adult cats. Anybody have any suggestions as to temporary accommodations (2 4 weeks) that accept cats? Since money is a concern, we're more interested in less expensive accommodations. Thanks for any suggestions.

My company has me living in Altamont Summit Apts in Happy Valley. It is acceptable for a temporary situtation. Pretty quiet and seems safe. I have lived there for 2 months and wil be there for one more.

When I was moving from my sold house, I stayed at the Crossland Suites for awhile... I had a rabbit, 2 cats & a dog. I paid a little extra for the pets to be there. My stay was in Springfield, OR, but I'm sure in Portland, they'll be able to accomodate you also.

Check on airbnb.com

They have some great deals, and you are renting a room from a private owner, basically. It serves as a brokerage site to connect private home owners who have an extra room open in their house. A lot of them are pet friendly. I used it when a friend came up and she had no qualms about staying with an absolutely wonderful lady. A lot of times, true to the name, you get a free breakfast included! They also have a nifty rating system from people who have stayed previously so you know the place is legit.

Also, check out the Pheonix Suites. I am pretty sure that they accept pets and have really low rates as well as locations all throughout Portland.
