The Plum Line - Rand Paul camp cancels Meet the Press because "he's had a long week"

"He committed to coming on on Wednesday," Fischer tells me. "We got an email from his press secretary this afternoon saying that he wanted to cancel."

Fischer adds that the Meet crew asked to talk directly to Paul himself to ask him to reconsider, but he has yet to call back. "We're still waiting," she says.

"We tried to impress upon them that this is a big deal," Fischer continues. "The only other two people to cancel have been Louis Farrakhan and Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia."

The company Rand Paul now keeps in canceling befits his horrendous beliefs in regards to race, fairness and equality.

Why is it that when right-wingers like Paul and Palin show that they are truly unequipped they run and hide? You put your name on a ballot to become an elected official, you stand up and answer questions and support your positions no matter how controversial. They are true cowards in every since of the word.

"Y'know, there's a specific group of Americans out there---whose name I won’t mention, but it begins with 'T' and ends with 'baggers'---and they have a habit of saying, 'I want my country back.' Well, I want my country forward." ---Bill Maher

What are the chances he's going to drop out of this race?

The chances, regrettably, are slim to none. He will probably get elected.

His supporters are in the habit of making excuses and spinning just like they did for GWB.

Zero. Palin didn't dropout after proving she was unworthy so why should Paul. He's set himself up to be an even wealthier lunatic once this all shakes out.

OMG! He hasn't been elected yet and he's already "had a long week?"

He's only been on the hot seat for a few days and he's already tired???

What a WIMP!

Now the GOP is backing away from a self-imploding embarrassment. It was reported that even Sarah Palin is expected to drop her support of Rand Paul. The guy isn't ready for prime time and will cost the GOP the election in Kentucky.

That would be the ultimate insult: Dropped by an empty-headed mannequin like Palin.

I didn't even know that Paul was running for President but he is acting a lot like Obama as far as press questions are concerned.

Well, if even the loony Sarah Palin wants to distance herself from Rand Paul, what does that say about how nutty the GOP has become?
