President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats are promising a climactic clash with Wall Street, but there’s a complication in their battle plan: The Democratic Party is closer to corporate America — and to Wall Street in particular — than many Democrats would care to admit. [LEFT]

GS is to the world of Finance as MIT is to the world of Engineering. To be skeptical of GS background in the Executive Branches financial functions, would be similar to being skeptical of MIT background of large Engineering firms or Courts having a background related to Harvard. Please, get real.

Way to be in Denial.

Great thread JADEX was just about to post my self.

Democrats haunted by corporate ties | Reuters

Its funny how the sheep are in such denial about their Chosen one and the fact that Democrats are as tied to Corporate America as Republicans.

It really hurts the populist cause.

Only a fool would ignore the fact that GS is in the Executive office at the very same time GS is recording record profits, getting low cost government loans, in the mist of a federal investigation, and federal proposals are being made to discuss legislating GS and other similar financial corporations.

Really, do you think we're all gullible enough to believe this spin?

This is similar to the Bush kissing the oil tycoon outrage..
What large financial institution is not recording high profits, not getting low cost federal loans and not being investigated?

Thats not the topic.. The topic is their connection to the Democrats. You can make excuses for it, but that doesnt mean the connection isnt there.

p.s. is ANY other firm being investigated by the Obama administration?

GS has long been the preeminent Financial firm in the Industry. Most of the best qualified people went there and still do. It is no wonder that the most talent is from GS. As to other firms being looked at, perhaps a look at the facts will help.

News Headlines

Ps. Dems and Repubs are tied to Wall Street.

Yeah yeah, we get it.. First you make excuses for Democrats, and when that argument fails, its now both parties.

PS, your link doesnt support your argument. it diescusses companies that deal with CDO's, but it doesnt list any of them under investigation.

I guess then, that you don't think an investigation takes place until a suit is filed?? OooKay. I have never said Dems are immune from Wall Street money. Last month Repubs got $167,500 from GS and Dems got $123,000. They both get money from Corporations, that's certainly nothing new and not likely to change.
