But the topic was Fox News and that was about what I would expect someone from that side of the political argument to say. They were taking Fox to task, weren't they?

And what year did the amendment calling for an income tax come into effect? I think that most of the founders were long dead before that one was passed. Wasn't that back about the beginning of the progressive era?

Even the amendment doesn't say that half the people have to pay the tax in order to support the other half. I have never been against the income tax until I realized what earned income tax refunds really are.

Why are you asking me about years? Are you trying to remember if you attended the Senate roll call?

I have no clue where you're going with this, roy.

Maybe

Philosophically, I am an evolving mix of objectivist, purist libertarian, voluntaryist, individualist, and agorist.

But no need to hate or fear me though, my ideology prevents me from being a barbarian supporter of initiations of force. I can only justify using retaliation of force upon those who use force against me.

Besides, most people love being insects and have no desire for real freedom, so I am hopelessly lost in an insignificant minority to be dealt with as the powers that be decide. Just a harmless teddy bear.

Live and let live.

You are correct. It also doesn't say that half the people can't pay to support the other half. That determination is made by Congress.

The OP was written about a morning show today and on Fox, at that. Didn't you read the opening post on this thread? Hmmmmm.

No matter roy. Just don't "earn" "income" and you will be fine as you won't be covered by any of those theft laws. Freedom is only for those willing to live freely.

Don't worry, I don't fear nor hate you. Your philosophy does not and will not result in freedom, however. Quite the opposite. We are a lot like insects. Being social beings, heirarchies of power will always arise, government or no government. Only a systematic form of government can protect you. If you prefer a drug lord to be in charge, Mexico, Columbia or Afghanistan may be more to your liking.
