I think this time he government decided hispanic is not a race. I think there was a different check box area to say you are some kind of hispanic -and that group also is broken down by country of origin.
That means you can be white or black or chinese or samoan or whatever else AND be hispanic -- whether or not you even speak Spanish. That too didn't make much sense.
That's right, they asked if you were:
Hispanic, then if you are Mexican, Cuban or Puerto-Rican or other.
I think we should all write in......"HUMAN race"...since that is the race we ALL are
no more statusfying things
I am pretty sure the president of the United States Barack Obama did not racially classify himself as Human in the 2010 census. He clings to a Black identity.
Yeah but for the Hispanics who are not White, Black, Chinese, or Samoan, they can check a box called SOME OTHER RACE.
If they show up to ask me about race or hispanic since I didn't check any of their boxes, I'm just going to say "no se que raza somos" and send them on their way.

I am surprised very few Hispanics in the U.S classify themselves as Indian, considering most Hispanics in the U.S physically look closer to George Lopez in racial phenotype/appearance than they do to George W. Bush.
I am not going to check any box because they have yet to give me one to check.
Don't feel bad, I wasn't counted last time.
