WASHINGTON -- Rep. Shelley Berkley has become the latest Democrat to announce she will be voting for the health care bill.
Berkley's support wasn't seriously in doubt, as she has been a proponent of health care reform and said she wouldn't let the shortcomings of the bill stop her from supporting it.
Yet her reluctance to add her name to the yes column drew phone calls this week from two Obama administration cabinet secretaries to shore up her support.
WASHINGTON — After days of fence-sitting, U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas of New Smyrna Beach said Friday that she would support a sweeping Democratic plan for health-care reform that has divided the country even as it aims to bring health insurance to 95 percent of all Americans.
Kosmas, one of 39 Democrats to oppose a similar bill in November, said in an exclusive interview with the Orlando Sentinel that she decided to change her mind because the latest version addressed some of her previous concerns about its effect on small businesses and the federal deficit.

Did you know he was lying then and just didn't care?

Arcuri (Yes last year) is voting NO, Lynch (yes last year) voting no, Carney (y) voting NO, DeFazio (y) voting No. She needs to get way more No-to-Yes flips.
Harry Mitchell (D-AZ 5) has told Channel 12 News in Arizona that he will vote “yes” on health care. Mitchell was a “yes” vote the first time around but had not committed.

I think we see why she wants a deal with Stupak, but then she may lose 40+ yes votes. What a pickle.
What a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.
She's got another problem - the discrepancies in the Medicare disbursement - many dems are not happy about that.
U.S. Rep. Scott Murphy, D-Glens Falls, announced he intends to vote "yes" on President Obama's health care reform bill.
In the end, the decision boiled down to what is best for the future of his 4-year-old son Duke, the congressman said in a statement.
"This year, our nation will spend over $2.6 trillion on health care, up from $2.3 trillion last year, and the rate of spending is only increasing," he said. "If we do not act to reign in this out-of-control system, by the time he graduates high school we will be spending over $7 trillion a year on health care."
Murphy's decision brought quick criticism from Republicans.

WASHINGTON – One by one, House Democratic fence-sitters began choosing sides Friday, and the long, turbulent struggle over landmark health care legislation tilted unmistakably in President Barack Obama's direction.
Do they yet know what additions and deletions have been made? Congressman Peter DeFazio said TODAY on the radio that they had not seen everything in the bill AND that they wouldnt until Saturday at Midnight.
How can you decide HOW to vote until you see whats in it? Shouldnt WE get a chance to look at it too...so I can call/email my congressman with my opinion.
