No problem.

Just homeschool your kids and this sort of thing won't affect 'em.

It's VERY sad that it has come to this......but the PC police have been placed in charge of everything that goes on in every facet of society now.
Such actions have surely prevented countless school shootings, prevented bullyism, hurt feelings and most of all........punished an innocent kid for nothing......other than for the sake of showing the world what "Zero Tolerance" really means.

Someone just needs to show that little kid what he should do with his middle finger......the next time.

Sometimes a child is suspended for a variety of reasons but since most of it is confidential we only hear the silly stuff.

Overall I would say their are FAR MORE people willing to mindlessly believe a school is at fault than their are ACTUAL SUSPENSIONS for frivious reasons. People do like to jump to conclusions if it lets then rant and rave.

Keep in mind that the parents whined and moaned and got "no tolerance" policies enacted in schools.

Parents did this.

if this is what they are busting him for i would be a troubled kid to. hope the rest comes out. glad i grew up in the 50's. if i was a kid today i would be suspended on prescription drugs and labeled a problem child as would most of my classmates

Maybe the kid has ADD and was high on multiple prescrips.
He might have just watched an old cartoon too.

I can picture a few lawyers somewhere.....drooling over this story, waiting to take the case.

I take it you get expelled for the year nowadays......if you wad up some paper and blow it through a straw at your classmates.
Permanent expulsion and life without parole is in order for the kid who DARES to bring a slingshot to school and has bloodshot eyes for ANY reason.

No wonder some kids go postal....or "bowling for Columbine."

Just an equal reaction to the action of the STUPIDITY of this PC, zero tolerant, delusional facade of a world that they are becoming fully aware of at an earlier age than ever before.

Conform......or be cast out, one way or another.

OR...maybe he is just a punk who needs to be suspended to teach him a lesson. I mean, people whine and complain all the time when kids turn violent them blame the schools because "they saw the signs and didn't do anything!!". Perhaps you should be praising them for being pro-active

My 9 year-old was suspended for a day for doodling 2 stick figures, in his words "bad guys" shooting each other. He's a good kid, never gets into trouble. That's what 9 year-old boys do, they draw guns, planes, bombs, all those good things. The zero tolerance policy goes overboard, but I didn't appeal his suspension. Sadly kids have to learn to live within the bounds of the rules no matter how silly they seem. But parents have brought this on themselves with their incessant whining about every solitary thing, and now the principals are bound by zero tolerance, and can not use their discression when assessing each incident.

Its all because of those old bumper stickers that said...."My kid beat up your honor student."
Life in public schools has never been the same since.

Just keep the assault rifles and grenades out of the hands of kids who may have only wanted to punch your spoiled brat kid in the face but got suspended for playing "Cowboys and Indians" high on a tab of Ritalin during recess, in the first grade.

Consequences of Zero Tolerance?

Common sense is not an option.

Schools are really paranoid and they do not care about helping either. School counselors, teachers, and principles will do anything to weed anyone out that isn't a sheep. They make mountains out of molehills, discredit, humiliate, and do everything to make matters worse. It is an on going problem in schools.

The kid might have been a little wild or sneaky. Hopefully he gets home school from good parents. And will learn better skills and better behaviors.
