Actually Gem the fact that it happened it Turkey does surprise me a little if I'm honest as I view Turkey as a more moderate Islamic country. Well in comparison to many of the others.
I cannot comprehend how one could do this to their own daughter. And he didn't just kill her, he killed her in a brutal and torturous way. That is something a psycho murderer would do.
I'm thinking people do horrible things to their children all the time, even right here in the USA. We get all worked up about things like the OP because of "the reason" but IMO that isn't really the issue. People who kill or hurt their kids don't need a reason anyway, they just do it. However they try to rationalize it in their minds the end result is the same. As far as I'm concered a sick family killed their child in a horrible way. That's really all there is to it.
I just think as a person gets older they become more aware of the world and the horrific things that go on and let's face it, some of the things that go on would "try the patience of a saint" as my Nan would say.
I think the older we get, we realize more and more, the ignorance, that still persists, beyond our control. I sincerely do not see these Men changing their sadistic ways. And yes this is a very sensitive and heartbreaking incident. I do not see those men changing their views any time soon. And that in itself is very sad.
