It's only bad when the Republicans do it.

That helps expalin why things are being done in secret and that the load about "openess" and televising on C-Span was, well, a load.

Some "change".

OMG this is a classic quote:
Quote:
If Republicans want to campaign against the health care bill, Obama said, "that's a fight I want."
How, pray tell, can you "fight" with republicans when you lock 'em out of the room?

This is an excerpt from the WSJ:

"To make up for the lost revenue—and to increase subsidies for lower earners to buy health insurance—negotiators are considering increasing the financial hit on drug makers, nursing homes and medical-device makers, according to people familiar with the discussions"...

Are these back room operators really that stupid? Who do think really ends up paying the mandated increased costs on goods and services?

Maybe they think we're too stupid to figure things out.

Especially when big pharma and the insurance industry are not only at the table they're catering the freaking meetings. It sounds good and his bobble-head supporters will eat it up.

Given the recent dust up over Reid's remarks I would think Obama would be sensitive to even the appearance of being owned. Apparently not.
