I was watching Dick Morris tonight and he suggested that the known (Landrieau, Nelson) bribes (my choice of words, not his) in the Obamacare bill aren't the only ones. That some Senators and Reps get verbal promises that if they don't get re-elected because they supported Obamacare there will be jobs (like ambassadorships or other appointed positions) for them after the electorate gives them the boot, as a thank you. He says we have to follow this thing post-election to see in what jobs some of the soon-to-be voted out of office Senators and Reps land.

Harry Reid pretty much stated that most who voted in favor got perks and those who did not were negligent in their duty to their states. In other words, votes are for sale.

I really like Dick Morris. He's usually right on the money. I saw the same clip you just did and he's right... there is a lot more to this bill than meets the eye, and a lot more promises made by Reid et al to buy votes that only time will expose. The known bribes ($300mil for Landrieau, gov't payments for medicaid expansion in Nebraska for Nelson, exemption from cuts to the Medicare Advantage Plan for Floridians, etc, etc, etc) are only the tip of the iceburg. Sleazy politics IMO.

True, but didn't Obama run on the platform that business as usual was going to be a thing of the past? No more back room dealings, no more earmarks, no more lack of transparency. People voted for this man because he promised CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN. Smoke screens.

Just like every other Presidenr! Remember "read my lips"? They all lie. Things were getting so bad last year that people wanted to believe in something new. I voted for him and I highlited some of the reasons.

whatyousay; That is exactly what he promised, CHANGE, but he forgot to mention one important aspect, my style of politics or no way at all.

And this is exactly what is wrong in DC and why we actually need to vote them out of office. Its also why we can't balance the budget.

No, no, no, you have it all wrong.

It wasn't
"change we can believe in"..

It was:
"chains we can believe in".

Why are you so dimissive?

Shouldn't you be pissed?

Or is this "business as usual" a guise for "I"ll support Democrats no matter what because i'm not capable of free-thinking!"
