I've got no problem with critique of Obama. It's just that people are getting ridiculous about this. Just like they were with the critique of Bush.

You need to link that to a blog. Send a note to Mr Beck. He'll put it in his blog, and then you can cite it as "proof".

Okay guys. Let me put it more clearly. Having an ornament of Mao or Hitler or a Zombie wouldn't change my opinion of Obama. His policies (which leave a bad taste in my mouth as it is) are what I really care about.

For all I care, he could eat puppies for breakfast, wear a tutu to sacrificial rituals at lunch, beat people up with light sabers, then finish the day with a three-fetus casserole. Obama's personal life has no bearing on anything (at least to me).

It was annoying with Clinton. It was annoying with Bush. It's annoying with Obama.

No, whoever occupies the White House can decorate their tree as they see fit, YOU do not own the rights to their tree decorating. And as a matter of fact, this whole thread is a complete & utter farce. Aren't you guys tired of constantly flapping your hands in angst? LOL, makes for some good laughs just the amount of spit that flies w/the sputtering, I'll give you that much. LOL, imagine getting so steamed about a christmas tree...OH NOOOOOO, it's a TRAVESTY!!!!! LOL.

The White House Christmas tree is decorated with patriotic ornaments from previous administrations.

The 18½-foot Douglas-fir from Shepherdstown, West Virginia, which arrived on the traditional horse-drawn carriage at the North Portico is adorned with classic images - a Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the Kennedy Space Center. But also an ornaments depicting Davy Crockett Park in Tennessee, Pompey's Pillar from Billings, Montana, and naturally, the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.

Oh, so did they recycle the Mao Tse Tung ornament too? It must have been left over from the White House Christmas after Nixon's visit to China back in '72.

According to that article, which again who knows if it's true, it's the tree in the Blue Room, which is always decorated by the First Lady. So, exactly how many trees does the White House have & which tree is the one referred to in the OP? Maybe it's the tree in "the room of bad, odd & misunderstood people" room?

I heard Obama has a secret ultra-liberal Christmas Tree in the Red Room that they keep to scare away easily frightened right-wingers.

Sorry, this thread is too much fun..
